Private Medical Insurance

We all need access to healthcare at some point in our lives and we want to make sure you get the best treatment possible. With the AXIS private Healthcare offering, you have access to Private Medical Insurance.

AXIS will pay the premium for this benefit up to the value of Company Plan Extra Level 2 for your chosen benefit level. If you decide Vhi Company Plan Executive is more appropriate for you, then there will be a payroll deduction for the difference in premium between Executive level and Plan Extra Level 2.

There are two plans available:

When can I select it on MyBenefits?

You can select and make changes to your Private Medical Insurance during the annual benefit selection window, after a qualifying Life Event or at a new joiner window.

Dental Insurance

Looking after your teeth properly can be expensive. With Dental Insurance, you can receive reimbursement towards the cost of dental treatment up to specific policy limits, to help make it more affordable for you and your family.

During the annual benefit selection window or at a new joiner window.

Eyecare

At AXIS, you are entitled to a company funded eye examination with your optometrist or doctor every two years. If the test reveals that glasses or contact lenses are needed for VDU work, the Company will contribute a further €95 towards the costs of glasses/contact lenses.

Eyecare benefits are provided via Vhi. The amounts below can be claimed using both the Vhi company plan Extra level 2 or Vhi Company plan Executive policies:

  • Eye Test Contribution: You are entitled to €30 towards an eye test every 24 months.
  • Glasses/Contact Lenses Coverage: 75% of charges for glasses or contact lenses, up to a maximum of €150, every 24 months.

We have a choice of two testing kits available: Premium Food Intolerance Test and Junior Food Intolerance Test.
